muthi reed is an ethnographic audio video maker migrant worker local to several spaces, primarily, Philadelphia, PA and New Orleans, LA. Their work consists of embodied and digital sketches in various forms, which perform race, time space, embodiment, sound, odyssey, politic, and style. Reed’s digital media archive krewe coumbite traces extensive archives of Black family treeing, their own kinfolk’s legends and the wildly rich stories of chosen family as well. Reed uses these archives, detailing wisdoms of our survival, as a creative tool for their document + archive + mix process krewe coumbite. They are interested in the joys of finesse and art of everyday Black life practices
